Rocky Point Beach Sunset Session | Whidbey Island Family Photographer

As we waded through tall grasses to get to the field of wildflowers just on the other side of the parking lot, I couldn't help thinking how lucky we are to live in a place where such beautiful spots are literally only a stone's throw away. 

The Olson family joined me on the shores of Whidbey Island, as I documented them snuggling, laughing, and running barefoot on the beach at Rocky Point. It felt like the first true day of summer. A day so lovely you even dared to kick off your shoes and dip your toes in the cold waters of the Sound. 

With two beautiful and energetic munchkins to chase around, I knew that getting everyone together for family pictures was going to be a bit of work for mama Shannon, so I wanted her to enjoy the experience and let her babies snuggle with her and genuinely have a great time together as a family.
