Golden Hour Boho Styled Lifestyle Family Session | Whidbey Island, WA

Second time's a charm

This incredible session was my second time working with mama Kirstin, and her two adorable boys. She invited me into her gorgeous home earlier last year to shoot an indoor motherhood session while hubby was deployed, but as soon as dad was back, she knew she wanted updated pictures with all of her favorite people in the frame.

Baked goods = Love

Kristin is one of those "how-does-she-do-it?" kind of gals. Beautiful self-renovated home? Check. Adorable farmhouse with tons of personality? Check. Gorgeous AND and great baker? Heck yeah! And here's the proof: Kristin brought a bag full of mini muffins to the session as a quick bribe for the boys. I'm talking like thirty muffins, people. Just look for the hidden muffins in the pictures - especially towards the end of the session. Ha! And don't worry, the boys eagerly shared their snack with their new bff Miss Kara. (Maybe that's yet another reason why this is one of my all-time favorite sessions?!). Okay, I'm just going to put this out in the universe - feel free to bring baked goods to your session friends!

A view of the Sound

Kristin wanted to shoot at Fort Ebey State Park, which is a gorgeous spot close to their farm, complete with forest, field, and beach backdrops, along with a gorgeous view of the Puget Sound. It was so bright and lovely when we first met, that the woods were a perfect stop along the way down to the bluff. I love how the sun peeks through the trees, and gives a real sense of the Pacific Northwest.

This session was really, really magical. I can't wait to do it again, friend!
