Mount Baker Adventure Session | Washington Family Photographer

I’d love to say that I’m a super-adventurous, ready-to-climb-a-mountain kind of gal. But I’d be lying. The truth is I try to leave Whidbey Island as little as possible. (I even cancelled my Costco membership when we moved here!). I’m a homebody, and I’m not ashamed to say it friends!

Until I visited Mount Baker in the summer that is. Sure, it takes a minute to drive up to Heather Meadows and Artist’s Point. But it. Is. Worth. It.

Jocelyn and her crew were such champs to join me on Baker last fall (yes, it’s taken me a minute to share all the gorgeousness that is this session). And honestly, I’d love to take credit. But this family is so stinking cute. And then there’s Mother Nature.

This was actually my first time visiting Baker at all, and although I arrived over an hour before our session, I was running around like a crazy person (“Squirrel!”) because EVERYTHING was gorgeous. Every angle of every vista was perfection.

Sometimes you have to climb the mountain to find the best view.

(psst - if you’re interested in an adventure session and want some EPIC family pictures taken on Mount Baker, Hurricane Ridge, Rattlesnake Trail, or Lake Diablo, get in touch! Most spots are gorgeous through October. It’s sooooo worth it friends!).
