Where are you based?

I’m based in Oak Harbor, Washington, on Whidbey Island. I shoot the majority of sessions on or around Whidbey Island - namely in Oak Harbor, Anacortes, and Coupeville.

When should I book?

Now! (Hehe). I open my calendar for the year in January, and I have some people who book sessions six to nine months out. The weather is absolutely gorgeous June through September, so those months fill up fast. And I try to limit the number of sessions I shoot to 6-8 per month, so the sooner you want to book, the better it is to reach out and get it on my calendar.

How do you pick a location?

I have plenty of suggestions, but I also want to choose a place that’s special to you and your family. We have so many gorgeous state parks, fields, and beaches to utilize on Whidbey Island (we are seriously SO spoiled!). Some of my favorite places to shoot are Deception Pass State Park, Fort Ebey, Fort Casey, Rosario Bay, and Bowman Bay. I’m always up for trying a new location, but I try to stick close to home when possible. Sometimes I’m able to venture as far as Bellingham or Mount Vernon, but a travel fee will apply for time and mileage. Newborn sessions are typically shot in your home.

How long do sessions last?

Sessions typically last 60 to 90 minutes. I shoot all family and couples sessions outdoors before sunset. In-home newborn sessions typically begin around 10 am.

What should I wear?

I love this question, because it’s actually really important to me! You are spending time and money to take gorgeous pictures, and your wardrobe can absolutely enhance the final product. I’ll send you Pinterest boards with lots of ideas, and am here to help with any questions you have. You don’t have to go out and purchase a new wardrobe (although you can totally get yourself a new outfit!). I’m here for you if you want to text or email me pictures of your outfits as they come together. I’ll suggest any color or layering changes, and we’ll get you looking and feeling your best.

How many images will I receive?

You will receive at least 50 edited images in your final gallery, although most galleries include between 75 and 90 images.

You will receive an online gallery of all your edited images approximately 3-4 weeks after your session.

Do you offer mini sessions?

At this time, I only offer ‘Mama & Me’ mini sessions in April, and I limit it to 6-8 sessions (typically two per night). These are sessions for mama and kiddos only (sorry dad!).

How much do you charge?

I charge $500 plus tax for family, newborn, and couples sessions. Military homecomings are discounted to $350 plus tax. You can find more information about what each package includes here.

How does your referral program work?

If a friend refers you, just let me know who the awesome person is, and you'll both be rewarded after your session is signed and paid for. You’ll receive a $50 print credit to put towards your gorgeous new images (yay new gallery wall!), and your friend will receive $50 to put towards prints or a future session. Talk about a win-win!

How do I book a session?

Just fill out this contact form and I’ll get back to you as soon as possible. Once we pick a date I’ll send you a contract to sign and an easy online invoice to pay a deposit of $150 (plus tax) to reserve your date. The remaining balance will be invoiced to you after your session.
